Jazz Manouche year 2015 started with Augsburg's
"23th Django Memorial"...probably still
the best way to start the
season with an excellent Jazz Manouche program,
"Django á
Liberchies" was next this year, a fine
weekend
with interesting new faces...to me
- then I left out "Festival des Puces" and the main event, the "Django
Reinhardt Festival"
in Samois, due to lack of Django heritage.....
and went to "Jazz Manouche" at Zillisheim/Mulhouse again,
which becomes an annual fixpoint for me.....
Hildesheim's "15th Gipsy
Festival" in July was excellent too...
Koblenz was cancelled but there was a fine first
Festival in Mainz
by the Sinti Union Hessen...
looking forward to the 2016 season, which will start in April with
Augsburg's #24.....
